Water Quality Ponds help to collect runoff from nearby roads or buildings to help treat pollution. Many of the City's ponds are retention-reirrigation ponds. These ponds collect water and hold it for a period of time.   As the water is held pollutants and sediments sink to the bottom and the water is then reused or reirrigated across grassy areas.  The Lovegrass Water Quality Pond is a retention-reirrigation pond, but it is not functioning properly. The City is taking a systematic approach to repairs to this pond.

Project Status

The electrical panel and pump have been replaced.  The irrigation system will now be tested.  These are the only items remaining in Phase 1 of the project. Once Phase 1 is completed, investigation into the pond liner and wall will be undertaken as Phase 2 of this project.
