The City of Sunset Valley’s Native Plant Rebate Program encourages residents to plant native and/or adapted plants in their yard.  

 Native Plants and Trees 

• Reduce water use and save money. 
• Create a vibrant landscape. 
• Create Shade. 

• Attract and support butterflies and other pollinators. 
• Promote local plant life and biodiversity in Sunset Valley. 

 REBATE AMOUNT 

• Annual rebate capped at $500.00 per property.  

ELIGIBILITY 

• Applicant 
  • Must be a residential customer of Sunset Valley.
  • Must be the property owner or utility account holder.
  • Agrees to post-installation inspection by Sunset Valley Public Works.

• Native Plants 
  • Plants must be installed on the property located within the City of Sunset Valley.
  • Plants can be chosen from the Grow Green Native and Adapted Landscape Plants Guide
  • Seeds are encouraged to be sourced within 200 miles of Sunset Valley.
  • Plants are recommended to not have been treated with neonicotinoid pesticides. 

CHECKLIST 

• Meet all eligibility requirements
• Submit the application within 30 days of purchasing and installing the plants.
• Itemized paid-in-full receipts with charges for taxes separated from material and labor costs and line-item detail for each category requested
• Submit photos of plants once they have been planted.
• Submit Rebate Application to and all required documents to:

• Upon request, a site visit may be conducted of the planting area.   
• Rebate check should arrive within 3-4 weeks.
