Wastewater Averaging Notice

Notice to all residents that water use in November, December, and January will be used for calculating a wastewater volume charge beginning with the February bill.  Customers are encouraged to reduce outdoor watering to avoid the impact of this charge. Turn off your irrigation system, or use it manually only as needed during the winter months. For more information please call Public Works at 512-891-9103.

The City of Sunset Valley operates a wastewater collection system.  This includes one lift station and over 5 miles of wastewater lines.  In order to maintain the  system the City is educating the public on being sewer savvy by understanding all of the things that should never be flushed down the drain from homes and businesses.

Did you know that "flushable wipes" are one of the biggest threats to wastewater infrastructure?  These wipes create fibrous mats that clog up sewer lines and lift stations.
