City of Sunset Valley’s Electric and Propane Lawn Equipment Rebate program helps residents to purchase lawn equipment that is not gasoline-powered. 

POLLUTION REDUCTION

• According to the Environmental Protection Agency, over 5% of urban air pollution results from gasoline-powered lawn and garden equipment.  The goal of this program is to provide an incentive towards the purchase and use of electric and propane lawn equipment. 

REBATE AMOUNT

• Limited to one rebate per residential household per year per equipment type. (ex. One lawnmower, 1 string trimmer, etc)
• 50% the purchase price (without tax) of an electric or propane powered lawnmower up to $200.00.
• 50% the purchase price (without tax) of electric or propane powered lawn equipment up to $100.00.

ELIGIBILITY

• Applicant:
  • Must be a resident of Sunset Valley.
• Equipment
  • Any brand or style is eligible as long as it is electric or propane powered.

CHECKLIST

•  Meet all eligibility requirements above

• Purchase the equipment.  

• Submit the application within 30 days of purchase and include:

• Itemized receipts with vendor contact information for the equipment.   

• Submit Rebate Application to and all required documents to:
