Sunset Valley is an environmentally sensitive community. The majority of the City is located over the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone and the City tries to protect this resource through its activities and regulations. The Public Works and Environmental Services Department provides a variety of different programs and services. Our city has been recognized with several Tree City, USA awards. We have the largest White Shin Oaks in the nation. We pride ourselves with many tree and forestry programs as well as services to preserve and maintain Sunset Valley's rich landscape.
