A lift station takes wastewater underground  and lifts it in elevation so that it can continue to flow by gravity to a treatment facility.  The City of Sunset Valley's lift station was built in 1992.  The lift station has several mechanical issues, including an outdated electrical system.  This project will upgrade the lift station to new pumps and electrical system. The lift station will be built in compliance with all Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) standards.
